We are looking for someone who can can offer Kyler instructional lessons, and who has knowledge or experiencing teaching children of his age.

Kyler is 3 years and 3 months old in this video. On Saturday May 1st Kyler Ng Glaue is featured with our family, entered in our church talent show. We really have not taught Kyler anything. Everything he has learned is from watching other people play the drums.

Kyler is almost 30 months old in this video. Check out his base drum and snare drum rhythm at 3 minutes and 5 minutes. We have taken him to local events to watch other drummers, then he wants to come home and play his drums.

Kyler is 27 months old in this video. You can see we have added another cymbol and have given him an isolation head set. He does not want to wear the head set for more than 30 seconds at a time, and I was not able to capture him wearing it in this footage. But he talks about it in the beginning.

I have noticed Kyler experimenting more with the drums. This video shows a little more of him trying some new things. Also look for his left hand strokes after 2 minutes into the video - he holds the stick differently - we did not teach him that, he saw Jack (The guy who plays the drums at our church) doing it and is mimicking him.

And what is Kyler doing at 4 min 30 sec into the video? Looks like he is trying to twirl the drum stick.

Do you hear squeaking? Kyler's bass drum pedal needs some WD-40.

Kyler Ng Glaue (KNG) is 2 years and 2.5 months old in this video (Born January 16, 2007).

He loves to watch other people drum. Namely a gentleman who plays the drums in our church praise team, Jack, who is the main inspiration of our son's enthusiasm for the drums.

Kyler received the Ludwig Junior drum set (LJR106) you see in the video as a 2008 Christmas present from his Uncle Brian who wanted to reinforce the talent he saw in him. Before that, he was playing on a cheap $20 play drum set. I added the pedal extenders (styrofoam and duct tape) so he could reach the pedals. I recently added the cow bell and tambourine just this past week.

Everything you see him do on the drums is self-taught. Neither of us (Kyler's parents) play the drums.

Kyler's Christmas Present

One of Kyler's Christmas present 2008 was a professional Ludwig drumset from his uncle Brian. Here's capturing his enthusiasm for drumming on his new and very cool drumset.
